Photo_Karlton-Mitchell_webKarlton Mitchell is a sophomore psychology major, journalism and sports minor from Houston, TX. He is an active member with the Atlanta Region Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, recently being relieved of his Fall 2010 duties as Public Affairs Chief. Karlton would like to become an aviator for the United States Navy, and he has aspirations of obtaining a Masters in the field of Organization Psychology.

Evangelina Benavides

Photo_Evangelina-Benavides_Evangelina Benavides was born in Bryan, TX and raised in College Station, TX. She is a Senior Psychology major at Texas A&M University and is also currently employed at FMA Alliance Ltd.  She is part of a large Hispanic family and is a first generation college student. Upon earning her Bachelor of Arts degree she plans on pursuing graduate studies in Industrial and Organizational Psychology; her interests vary within the field, but some of her major interests include personnel selection, training, job satisfaction, and work-life balance.

Photo_Edin-Mejia_webEdin Mejia is a Miami native and a senior at Florida International University where he is majoring in Psychology and Business Administration. He currently works as a senior research assistant in an investigative interviewing lab. Edin hopes to begin his PhD in organizational behavior in the fall of 2012. His research interests include organizational behavior, leadership, emotions in the workplace, organizational design, and top management teams.

Courtney Sholar

At Spelman, participates in the student programming board (PULSE), Psi Chi, and the Psychology Honors Department. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school and earn a Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology or occupational health psychology. Her overall goal is to increase research on the psychological and physiological effects of workplace stress on employees of different professions.
