
Yolanda Blavo is a senior majoring in Psychology (I-O track) at the University of Central Florida. At UCF, she is an undergraduate teaching assistant for Industrial Organizational Psychology. For the past two years, she has worked part time as a Preschool teacher in Maitland, Florida. Her responsibilities include taking care of children from six weeks to six years old and training new employees. Additionally, she serves as the Editorial Assistant for International Health Initiatives, Inc., a nonprofit organization that helps underserved populations around the world. As a member of this organization, she has recruited new volunteers and developed her own project to help provide meals to an orphanage in Tafi Atome, Ghana. Her research interests include organizational culture, work life balance and socialization. Yolanda plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Ultimately, she aspires to become an organizational development consultant in the future.
