Rachael Pyram is a senior at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She is currently working towards completing a dual-degree in Statistics and Psychology, with the goal of pursuing a doctoral degree in Industrial-Organization (I-O) Psychology. As a research assistant in one of USF’s I-O labs, Rachael has been actively working on a resilience meta-analysis for the past year, where she conducts literature reviews and runs statistical analyses. As a Psychology and Statistics major, Rachael’s personal research over the past year has explored Ambivalent Sexism Theory and Item Response Theory. For the past two years, Rachael has worked as a professional writing tutor at Hillsborough Community College, where she has received both advanced certification as a tutor and as an academic coach. Her experience as a writing tutor, specifically working with students and faculty, and facilitating and developing tutor trainings, was what ignited her interest in I-O. Looking to the future, Rachael’s research interests are in the fields of training and coaching, the development and integration of technology into the workplace, and the interpretation and useful application of people analytics.
