Sasha Pierre-Louis is originally from Boston, MA but has called Richmond, VA her home for the past ten years. She is currently a student at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. This year she is a first semester student within the Psychology Honors Program where she will be working on an individual research project within the field of Industrial Organizational Psychology for the next year. Miss. Pierre- Louis is working towards a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in Work and Organizational Psychology and a minor in Leadership Studies. She is a junior and is expected to graduate May 2016; after she plans to attend graduate school for Industrial Organization Psychology to work towards becoming a consultant for organizations and businesses, specializing in leadership development, diversity, and organizational culture.
As a student Miss. Pierre- Louis has not only made a commitment to her academics but also works to serve and be an active member in the community. This year alone she has served as a committee member for George Mason’s 2015 Commemoration Week of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, serves as a Resident Advisor for over thirty five upperclassmen students, and an Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education diversity workshop facilitator for university classes, which she has been doing since she was a freshman. In February she was also inducted as a new member of Psi Chi, which is the National Honors Society for Psychology. Some of her other past campus involvements include being a summer orientation leader and a Leadership Consultant in the Leadership Education and Development Office.
