Kiara Sanchez

Kiara SanchezKiara is a senior at Rice University majoring in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Poverty, Justice & Human Capabilities. She has been in engaged in several research projects and is currently a research assistant in an Industrial Organizational Psychology lab at Rice. Her research interests include diversity and discrimination in the workplace and in schools, as well as globalization. Her goals include pursuing a PhD in Industrial Organizational or Social Psychology in order to become a researcher and professor. Through her research and teaching, she hopes to serve underrepresented populations and inspire future scholars to do the same.

 

Research Topic:

I am interested in organizational diversity and systemic discrimination, specifically in the workplace and in schools. I am most interested in ethnic discrimination. I would like to pursue a topic that I can develop into an honors thesis next year.
